Charity News

Welcome to another year of Fund Raising Fun!

Here is a brief overview of events planned for the coming year:

Term 1

Coffee Morning and cake sale for Macmillan Cancer Support. We raised £250

Harvest Assembly  -  Thank you for all the donations of food and other items for the Plymouth Food Bank, those collecting were hugely grateful. They were able to make 16 food parcels.

 

Term 2

Friday 15th November - Children In Need  -  a mufti day with donations. 

Thursday 12th December  -  Christmas Lunch day  -  A chance to brighten up your uniform with a Christmas Jumper day with donations for St Luke’s Hospice.

Retiring collections at EYFS and KS1 Christmas productions and KS2 carol concerts. The money raised will go to the Children’s Happy Hospital Fund at Derriford Hospital

 

Term 3

None

 

Term 4

Friday 13th March – Sport Relief Day  -  a sport mufti day ( tracksuit / football kit / netball kit / gymnastics wear etc) with donations. 

 

Term 5

Wear a Hat day  (real day Friday 27th March)  - donations for brain tumour research

 

Term 6

An event to raise funds for a charity chosen by the School Parliament (yet to be decided).

Retiring collections at Year 6 Leaver’s productions. The money raised will go to charities chosen by Year 6 themselves.

 

This year we will also continue to support the Smalls for All charity who collect and distribute underwear to help women and children in Africa and PDAS ((Plymouth Domestic Abuse Support) (toiletry etc collection)

Our PSA Jo Stapleton will gratefully accept donations of make up, toiletries bras and pants!
