DESIGN A HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL
Following on from the Holocaust history learning of last week, we are going to look at memorials to this most terrible time in history.
There are lots of different memorials around the world to help us to remember the lives lost. Some are sculptures or statues; others are areas where visitors can quietly reflect and pay their respects to the millions of holocaust victims.
Miss York is lucky enough to have visited the Berlin memorial and those at Auschwitz itself during her European travels.
Look through the photos of some of these different memorials.
Which one do you like the best?
Which is the most unusual?
Which one is the most powerful?
Your task is to design your own new Holocaust/Anne Frank memorial.
You can use ideas from some of the others if you like.
It can be a drawing, painting, collage or model – whichever you prefer.
