We are going to use our story maps from yesterday to write a recount of 'Where the Forest Meets the Sea'. This is different from writing a story, because a recount is a non-fiction text. This means we need to make it sound as if it really happened. Here is a video from Michael Rosen giving you some tips on how to write a recount. There is also a PowerPoint to give you some tips. Choose your success criteria from mild, spicy and hot. If you choose the mild, the recount has been started for you, and has some keywords to help.
Today we are continuing with statistic and we are looking at drawing pictograms. Watch the video, remember to stop it and have a go at the tasks.
Ask a grown up to test you on last week's spellings (they are under last week's star if you need it). Then start to learn this week's spellings.
In this lesson, Exploring 3 beats in a bar (thenational.academy), we are going to be learning about music that has 3 beats in a bar. It's the kind of music they waltz to on 'Strictly Come Dancing'!
