Today is the last day of our learning on coordinates and translations. There are some challenging reasoning problems for you to try. See how many you can do. Don't worry if you get stuck on some of them.
Next, we have our end of unit check-up for you to try.
We'd also like you to spend some time on TTRockstars today. You've been told your MTC results, so can you go to the soundcheck and see if you can match or even beat your score? You can focus on just the tables you find hardest too using the Jamming option. If you have spoken with a friend, you could challenge them in the Rockslam too.
We've also added a nice little Euro 2020 (2021) maths activity to try. It uses your mental maths skills. This is a bit of fun and you can try it if you want to.
Today, we are continuing with our plurals learning by introducing two more rules in to the mix! Watch the video and practice the spellings at the end. Once you have done this please complete the worksheet below titled 'All - New Rules'. This will specifically look at lots of examples of the new rules that have been introduced to us today. It also discusses some irregular ones that aren't mentioned in the video. We do need to be aware of these as they don't fit it to any of the rules we have been learning about. Mild - if you are struggling with these, please just do the first two pages. Spicy and Hot - please give them a go! Don't we just love the English language! I do! Once you have completed 'All - New Rules' please move on to the worksheet titled 'All Plurals'.This is mainly a sorting activity of all plurals and all rules. This does have different worksheets to suit your confidence....
Mild - please do the worksheet with * at the bottom
Spicy and Hot - **
Today's science is the last in our unit of learning.
We are looking at the impact of humans on the habitats of the wildlife around us.
Please read through the PDF of the slides and think about how we can impact our environment, often in a negative way. This is very closely linked to our English leanring with the plastic pollution.
Finally, there is a sheet for you to research an endangered animal of your choice. What can you find out about it and how we can help to prevent it from becoming extinct?
Today you are going to be travel agents! You will need to think of the perfect coastal holiday for your clients.
Firstly, pick a worksheet that matches your confidence in the PDF below. 5A, 5B or 5C. 5A asks more simple questions whilst 5C asks trickier questions. Then, have a look at the customer profile cards further down on the PDF. You will need to read their requirements and then search on the internet to find their perfect holiday match. If you look at the first one, The Tanning family don't want to travel and they want to be close to a town. Can you find a holiday destination for them to go to? Maybe somewhere in Cornwall? Then, you will need to complete the worksheet you have chosen to give more details on the holiday that you have chosen for them. Complete as many of these as you like but try to do two. Any questions or difficulties I am around on Teams to help.
Mild - Worksheet 5A
Spicy - 5B
Hot - 5C
