Foundation and Year 1 Mrs Ryder's assembly 18.1.21

Phonics Lesson 21

Below are the worksheets we will be using in school today. You do not have to print them or copy them exactly but we hope they will help you to choose a level of challenge to suit your child.

For the Mild challenge, you can help your child to think of a simple, short sentence and say it word by word as your child writes it eg I feel sad.

For the Spicy challenge, your child can use the examples shown on the video to help them write their sentences.

For the Hot challenge, your child thinks of and writes their own sentences.

In each case, it is more important for your child to 'sound out' the words, rather than copy the correct 'adult' spelling.

In today's Maths, for the MILD challenge please answer questions 1 and 2,  for the SPICY challenge please complete questions 1,  2 and 3 and for the HOT challenge please answer all the questions (1-4).
Throughout the Science video the children are asked to complete a variety of writing and drawing activites. Below is a worksheet we have created to use in class, to bring this recording together. You do not have to print it or copy it but you may find it helpful.
