To generate vocabulary for the climax
In this lesson, we will read the fourth and fifth verses and discuss what happens in this part of the story. We will use a range of activities to generate vocabulary to use in our planning lesson.
Compound sentences - as a starter Ms Webster will ask you to identify compound sentences. We briefly touched on this before Christmas. Remember a compound sentence is a sentence which has two main clauses (clauses that make sense on their own) joined with a co-ordinating conjunction. Remember FANBOYS? For And Now But Or Yet So.
Mild - When asked to do sentences at the end, can you complete 1?
Spicy and Hot - Can you complete all 3?
Hot challenge - Complete the sentences then can you tell an adult what the difference is between a main and a subordinating clause?
