English

Today's lesson builds on yesterday's by adding the descriptions to the dialogue to give a more interesting text.

Watch the power-point and see if you can improve upon your writing by adding more adjectives and more interesting words than 'said?'

Geography

Did you know the ocean has different layers? Look through the PowerPoint to find out more. Then complete the activity sheet. There are three different levels, you can choose which one to do. The one star activity is a bit easier, the three star activity is super tricky! Here are the instructions for it:

1. Cut out the names of the layers of the ocean and put them in order. One has been done for you. A clue is think about the names of the different layers. The closer to the top of the ocean, the more light there will be.

2. Draw pictures of the creatures to show which layer of the ocean they live in

The answers are at the end of the sheet. Don't worry if you don't have a printer and can't print out the pages, you could draw the picture on a piece of paper and then add in the labels.

Art

This week we are looking at drawing portraits. This is a very difficult thing to do.

You will need a mirror to look at your own face. Watch the video and see if you can have a go-don't be too hard

on yourself ! Artists practice for years so you will need to try more than once.
