Phonics Lesson 24

The main activity in todays English lesson is to use the words on the screen to help you write a sentence to describe how the Hat-makers son is feeling and what he is saying.

For the mild challenge children are asked to use a capital letter and full stop in their sentences as well as finger spaces and using their sounds to help them with unfamiliar words.

For the spicy challenge,  in addition to the grammar features in the mild challenge children are asked to use an exclamation marks.

For the hot challenge as are asking children to try and use some interesting adjectives (describing words) to add more detail to their writing in addition to all of the criteria in the mild and spicy challenges.

If you aren't sure which one to choose - it doesn't matter see how much you can do!  Even to talk about exclamation marks and exciting words helps your children with their understanding.

In today's Maths, for the MILD challenge please answer questions 1 and 2,  for the SPICY challenge please complete questions 1,  2 , 3 and 4 and for the HOT challenge please answer all the questions (1-5).
