Can I describe characters and settings? 

 

We are going to be thinking about grabbing our reader's attention be writing descriptions and characters and settings. Watch the video and then choose your challenge.

 

Mild – write a description of the setting and the character, using two adjectives for each noun. Use capital letters and full stops correctly.

 

Spicy - write a description of the setting and the character, using two adjectives for each noun. Use adverbs in your description (i.e. quickly, thoughtfully, happily) Use capital letters, full stops and commas correctly.

 

Hot - write a description of the setting and the character, using three adjectives for each noun and writing at least one complex sentence (using ‘because’) Use adverbs in your description (i.e. quickly, thoughtfully, happily) Use capital letters, full stops, commas and apostrophes correctly.

Maths

 

In maths today, we are learning about equivalent lengths in metres and centimetres again. Watch the video and pause it to have a go at the tasks. There is a worksheet to have a go at too.

PSHE-Jigsaw- Being Healthy 

This is the start of our new theme -Healthy Me! This week's lesson is all about how to improve your own health and fitness.

How does it make you feel to be active and healthy? 

Watch the power-point and see if you can answer the questions and complete the tasks. 

ART

This term we are looking at creative crafts, starting with paper weaving. You will be learning about different types of weaving and learning new techniques. For todays activity, you will need some resources but very simple things that you can find at home- scissors, glue and some paper ( magazine paper, newspaper etc ) will be fine for todays activity.

Don't forget to stop the video and rewind if you need to.
