Inverted Commas and Setting descriptions

Look again at 'Where the forest Meets the Sea' and think about the kind of discussions/conversations

they will be having together. Today's lesson will be thinking about adding speech using the correct punctuation.

Before you begin, look at your reading book and find examples of inverted commas (or speech marks).

See if you can notice a pattern where the capital letters and commas are.

Then watch the powerpoint which contains your task.

Our Jigsaw work continues on the theme of Dreams and Goals this week.

Look at the flipchart and listen to the reading of 'Me.........Jane' by Patrick McDonnell.

See if you can answer some of the questions on each page.

Can you share your thoughts with someone at home?

Draw your own flower and add in your own goals, dreams and ambitions for the future. Keep it somewhere safe so

you can remind yourself in the months and years ahead. Do you think these dreams will change? Can you give

reasons for your views?
