To investigate unstressed vowels in polysyllabic words

In this lesson, we will investigate unstressed vowel sounds in polysyllabic words and notice some of the patterns within these words.

Write each spelling into a sentence and highlight the unstressed vowel in the word.

e.g

I bought the Xbox at a real bargain price.

Lesson Objective

Can I place fractions on a number line?

 

Think about:

What are the intervals between the fractions?

Are the fractions increasing or decreasing?

How much are they increasing or decreasing by?

Can you convert the mixed numbers to improper fractions? Does this make it easier to continue the sequence?
