Maths - Correspondence problems

This session is quite a challenge! You need to watch the video carefully look at the ways that the examples show you how to solve each problem.

Activity challenge

You might find using objects, drawings and jottings incredibly useful today. Again, Lego or coloured objects will be a great resource to help you spot all the combinations you can make.

MILD - Complete questions 1-4 on the activity sheet.

SPICY - Complete the whole sheet.

HOT - Complete all the sheet, and then the TRUE or FALSE activity.

English

To practise and apply knowledge of French derived sounds.

In this lesson, we will practise and apply knowledge of French derived words.

Hot - pick three words which have a French derived sound within their spelling. Can you write a sentence for each of these words and then go through and highlight which different word classes you can spot? Different word classes we have covered so far in year 4 are; noun, adjective, verb, adverb, determiner, and preposition.

Mild - when Mr Bryne-Smith gets to the test at the end of the video. Please can you just do the first seven words?

Science

What are the major bones in the human body?

In this lesson, we will recap our year 3 learning about the function of our skeleton as well as some of our major bones. We will also learn about different types of joints. Finally, we will discuss the differences between exoskeletons and endoskeletons.

Music

For this lesson you will need some headphones preferably! If not, don't worry, maybe just go in to the other room away from mums, dads and siblings as you will need a quiet space. This week we will be exploring rhythm and finding the pulse.
