English

In this lesson, we will introduce new vocabulary, identify word pairs and synonyms and apply the vocabulary in sentences.  This lesson is super straightforward so no need for a mild option. Please make sure that you record the definitions of each of the words on a piece of paper or a book whatever you are using at home. You can then use these words to make your writing super precise and wonderfully detailed.

Hot - Ms Butt refers to writing sentences including a relative clause. Now, a relative clause is a year 5 objective however we do touch on them in year 4 because they are a type of subordinate clause. Relative clauses within a sentence starts with who, which, that. Give it a go, Ms Butt does provide a scaffold if you need it.

Science

In this lesson, we will learn about the digestive system. We will learn about the different stages, including what happens in the mouth, the stomach, and the intestines. We will also watch a demonstration and be able to explain the digestive system in our own words.
