We are going to continue with our block of learning on position.
Today we are starting something called translations. Watch the video and then try one of the challenges.
On the activities, the answers are included so you can check your work but obviously try the learning without looking. There are 2 different activites and you should be able to do both. Try to choose the correct challenge for yourself 1*=Mild, 2*=Spicy & 3*=Hot
We've also put the White Rose Maths sheet if you'd rather try that one, or you can do it as an extra if you want!!!
Maths Mystery challenge
If you fancy a challenge, we have added a maths mystery linked to the Euros football. See how you get on.
Yesterday we looked at the classification keys for different animals and plants. Today, can you try to create your own classification keys using the sheet provided. Use the questions on the sheet to build you key. We've added an example below.
This week we were writing up our non-chronological reports in best. This would be difficult to do at home so instead we can complete some grammar learning that we were going to look at next week. This way, we can be ahead of the game! We have covered plurals before in Year 4 however it was a concept that lots of us struggled with. Please watch the Oak Academy video below which introduces us to our first set of plural rules. The teacher will also set relevant spellings at the end of this session. Don't worry about learning these outside of your English home learning time as I am aware we have already set spellings for this week. Once you have watched the video please complete the worksheets to consolidate your learning and then check off your answers.
Mild - please complete the worksheet with one *
Spicy and Hot - please complete the worksheet with three *. The plurals that go in the 'other' category we will learn about tomorrow if we are still isolating.
Hot challenge - can you think of three sentences to write which includes one of the plurals from each of the rules we have learnt about today.
Ahead of the game tonight, please have a go at some of the colouring in below. It is England and football themed. It's coming home! We hope.... :-)
